TIPS FOR THE PERFECT BRAAI DAY
Forgotten the firelighters? No stress! All you need is a couple of teabags and some paraffin. Soak the teabags in the paraffin until thoroughly wet, pop these onto your braai stand, arrange the charcoal over the teabags, and light it up. No paraffin or teabags? Start a fire using a bag of Doritos chips, small pieces of dry sticks and dry wood pieces, before adding charcoal.
Marinade your steaks and chops in a non-metallic bowl, covering the meat with your favourite marinade. Cover in clingfilm and leave overnight, in the fridge. Bring to room temperature before braaiing, for extra succulence and flavour.
